Refunds

LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED. Successful takeovers are completed purchases of temporary advertising placement. Being outbid does not create an automatic refund. If two purchases race for the same quote window and only one can become the owner, the stale completed payment is marked refunded_due_to_race and should be refunded through the original payment provider. Payments and refunds follow the actually implemented policy in this product, not marketing language. Later outbid does not trigger a refund. The previous owner already received temporary advertising placement until a later qualifying purchase. A payment that cannot receive placement because of a simultaneous checkout race is automatically refunded through the original test/sandbox provider when Atlas can complete that provider refund.
